OUR BACKGROUND SCREENING SERVICES:
Employment/Work Verification
A work history report verifies an applicant’s most recent employment to ensure place of employment, duties and responsibilities, etc., are factual as stated on the application. There is no limit to the number of previous employers an applicant may list, and there is no additional charge per previous employer.
CRIMINAL HISTORY SEARCH
A criminal history search investigates a potential employee’s arrest record(s) and conviction record(s) at the federal, state, and local levels, if any. This investigation includes a Sexual Offender Registry Search, Bureau of Prisons Search, and numerous other state and federal record searches.
MOTOR VEHICLE REPORT
A motor vehicle report (MVR) includes an individual’s traffic and accident history during the last seven (7) years and is available in all fifty states.
SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER VERIFICATION
CBSV verifies whether a name and Social Security Number (SSN) combination match the data in SSA’s records. The submitted information is matched against SSA’s Master File of SSNs. The matching elements include: SSN, name, date of birth, and a gender code if available. Each SSN and name combo submitted to CBSV will be returned with a “yes” or “no” verification code indicating that the submission either matches or does not match our records. CBSV requires the written consent of the SSN holder and the verification results may only be used for the reason which the number holder specifies.
DOT SAFETY PERFORMANCE HISTORY (SPH) AND QUESTIONNAIRE
A DOT Safety Performance History and Questionnaire validates an individual’s previous safety record while working in a regulated position. A Due Diligence report is sent on all DOT verifications. An FAA Pilot Accident/Incident report can also be attached.
PROFESSIONAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATE VERIFICATION
This verification provides the type of professional license issued, date and state of issuance, expiration date, and any restrictions for CPAs, attorneys, educators, medical professionals, engineers, FAA Pilots/Mechanics, or any other licensed individual.
HOMELAND SECURITY EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION REPORT (E-VERIFY)
The E-Verify authorization report matches an individual’s personal identification factors in the DHS database and in the Social Security Administration database to determine one’s employment eligibility within the United States. Reports will show the following information dependent upon authorization status: Work Authorized, Tentative Non-Confirmation, Watch List or DHS/DOD Hold.
UPPER EDUCATION VERIFICATION
An upper-level education verification confirms that an applicant graduated from an institution of higher learning as stated on his/her application.
CREDIT REPORT
An individual’s credit report is a proficient indicator of the character of an applicant as well as a measure of his/her ability to manage the company’s broad responsibilities as it relates to handling monetary instruments.
BANKRUPTCY FILINGS
This report delivers information related to all types of commercial bankruptcy, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13.
CIVIL HISTORY VERIFICATION
A civil history search seeks out and reports all state and federal civil litigation matters brought before the courts, including workers’ compensation suits.
